Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile Celebrates Dreams and Music on KBS 2TV
The latest episode of KBS 2TV’s popular music talk show The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile brought warmth and inspiration to viewers through an array of moving performances and touching narratives. Airing on February 2, the episode welcomed singer-songwriters Gwon Jin-a and Sara Kang, rising group Miyao, and renowned band Jannabi to the stage.
Singer Gwon Jin-a opened the show with a sentimental rendition of “Comfort” from the Melody Is My Nature OST. Reflecting on her first encounter with Park Bo-gum, she humorously recalled thinking, “Is he the sun?” due to his radiant demeanor. Park Bo-gum’s extensive knowledge of her songs revealed his true fan status, leaving Gwon surprised and thankful.
With Bo-gum accompanying her on piano, Gwon Jin-a performed I Was Lucky and As You Dream, touching the audience with her soulful voice. She introduced her new album—the first in six years—and shared how she’s come to find joy and appreciation in singing her stories with time.
The newly introduced segment Stargazing Night featured New York-based singer-songwriter Sara Kang. In an emotional reveal, she disclosed her hesitations about appearing on television after becoming a mother but felt compelled to set an example for her daughter. Backed by Park Bo-gum’s piano, she performed Home and later covered Alone by Crush. She concluded her appearance by voicing her dream—to win a Grammy—and Park Bo-gum gifted a present for her daughter, bringing her to tears.
Newcomers Miyao showcased their debut track MEOW, expressing their versatility and team dynamics during the interview. Member Ella surprised fans by revealing she began as a child model at the age of two. Park Bo-gum warmly acknowledged their shared debut year (2011) with a fist bump and shared laugh.
The group went on to deliver high-octane covers of Rosé’s Number One Girl and Let’s Go See Stars, before closing their segment with a live rendition of Toxic and their new single, Hands Up, accompanied by Bo-gum’s piano performance.
Beloved indie band Jannabi brought refreshing energy with their song We Who Held Green. Returning to The Seasons after two years, host Choi Jeong-hoon praised Park Bo-gum’s professionalism behind the scenes. Broadcasting their performance for fans attending their concert remotely, Jannabi played a series of emotional hits, including The Hot Summer Has Passed, For Those Who Hesitate in Love, and Thoughts on an Autumn Night. They discussed their most recent album, describing it as a tribute to the joy of music. The title track, In the Name of Love!, features aespa’s Karina—a deliberate choice to infuse the track with a lighter, brighter energy.
In a playful moment, Park Bo-gum jokingly expressed jealousy over Karina’s collaboration and hinted at future musical contributions with Jannabi, to mutual amusement.
The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile airs every Friday at 10 p.m. KST on KBS 2TV, continuing to blend diverse genres with heartfelt storytelling and performances that resonate deeply with audiences.
