Park Bo-gum Makes Surprise Return on ‘1 Night 2 Days’ After 9 Years
Beloved South Korean actor Park Bo-gum is making his highly anticipated return to KBS2TV’s iconic travel variety show, 1 Night 2 Days Season 4, after nearly nine years. Alongside Park is fellow actor Lee Sang-yi, both of whom are starring in the upcoming drama Good Boy.
The episode airing on the 25th will feature a special segment titled “Bap Boy,” filmed in the scenic locale of Yeosu, South Korea. From the opening moment, Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi surprise viewers and cast members alike by jumping headfirst into a tug-of-war without any formal introduction. Lee’s unexpected commitment, lying flat on the ground mid-game, showcased his humorous and determined spirit.
The show’s cast greets the new guests warmly, even jokingly suggesting future reappearances. Cast member Kim Jong-min, however, couldn’t hide his anxiety, joking, “Should I not go on my honeymoon?” after seeing the chemistry between the guests and the team.
Park Bo-gum, currently hosting The Seasons, referenced a parody of his show called Moon Se-yoon’s Bapbibile and confessed to being a huge fan of 1 Night 2 Days. Lee Sang-yi, known for his more serious acting roles, also surprised viewers with his comedic timing and intense passion for the show’s food-centered challenges, saying, “I’m really hungry.” According to producers, Lee fully immersed himself in the spirit of the show, revealing a fresh entertainer side never seen before on-screen.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum’s long-awaited return brought a nostalgic story to light. Kim Jong-min reminisced about a near-death experience involving Park nearly a decade ago. “I almost died because of him,” said Kim, to which Park candidly nodded in agreement. The backstory remains a mystery, sparking curiosity among longtime fans.
The first part of the Yeosu special featuring Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi will air at 6:10 PM on the 25th via KBS2TV’s 1 Night 2 Days Season 4.
