Olympics Avengers Assemble: Park Bo-gum and Team Bring Heart-Racing Justice in ‘Good Boy’

Park Bo gum teams up with Olympic Avengers in JTBCs new youth action drama Good Boy worldwide on Prime

The adrenaline is about to hit the roof. JTBC’s upcoming action-packed youth drama Good Boy, directed by Shim Na-yeon and written by Lee Dae-il, has just released its high-energy global trailer. Featuring a dream team of Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok, the ‘Olympics Avengers’ unite to take center stage in this one-of-a-kind crime-fighting drama.

The trailer opens with wild crowd cheers echoing through an international sports arena. Leading the charge are former gold, silver, and bronze medalists who once brought glory to their nation—Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum), Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun), Kim Jong-hyeon (Lee Sang-yi), Ko Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae), and Shin Jae-hong (Tae Won-seok). These heroes now lead humbler lives as police officers, having been specially recruited from their athletic backgrounds. What seems like a fall from grace is actually the soil where these newfound heroes grow further.

The peaceful city of Inseong becomes a battleground when ruled by ruthless villain Min Joo Young (Oh Jung-se), known as the ‘Bad Boy’. His sinister shadow mocks the law and delivers tension, even in silhouette form. But the ‘Olympics Avengers’ won’t be sidelined. Echoing boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s words, “Impossible is nothing,” the trailer shows Park Bo-gum’s character vowing clingingly, “I will put you behind bars. You can run, but I’ll chase you until the end.”

Viewers are treated to rhythmic, high-intensity action sequences as the trailer narrates, “If you begin, you give everything. It’s time to stop the silence and pull the trigger.” The former athletes showcase fierce, sport-specific combat skills—boxing, sharpshooting, baton precision, wrestling slams, and discus power—in scenes that blend kinetic choreography with solid storytelling.

Good Boy goes beyond the traditional genre boundaries, promising not just crime-solving but a refreshing fusion of youthful idealism with cinematic action. This is not just another procedural. It’s an unapologetic show of sweat, justice, and redefined heroism. Director Shim Na-yeon, known for hit dramas like Monster and Bad Mom, and veteran screenwriter Lee Dae-il of Life on Mars and Chief of Staff helm this genre-bending narrative. Produced by JTBC Studios in collaboration with SLL, Studio&NEW, and Drama House Studio, Good Boy is set to premiere on May 31 at 10:40 PM KST on JTBC and will be streamable globally via Amazon Prime Video.

Good Boy captures the burning passion of youth and their unwavering quest for justice,” the producers shared. “We invite viewers worldwide to witness the extraordinary performances and gripping storytelling of our ‘Olympics Avengers’.”
