NEXZ Gears Up for Explosive Comeback with ‘O-RLY?’ and Striking MV Teaser
JYP Entertainment’s newest boy group sensation, NEXZ, is ready to take over the scene with their comeback, fueling excitement worldwide. On April 25, the company officially unveiled the teaser for NEXZ’s new title track, “O-RLY?”, igniting anticipation for their mini 2nd album set to drop on April 28.
The teaser opens uniquely with old TV screen visuals accompanied by the lyrics “Yo, I gotta gotta tell you something.” Against a backdrop of seven members frozen mid-pose, a lively drumming gorilla steals the spotlight, crafting an eccentric and fascinating scene.
In a whimsical twist, a green candy rolls across the floor and into Tomoya’s mouth, magically awakening the members to break into energetic grooves, perfectly syncing with the funky old-school beats.
Heightening curiosity, the mysterious green candy featured across all previous teaser content continues to be a significant motif in the music video. “O-RLY?” captures NEXZ’s cool, defiant attitude towards societal expectations through witty lyrics, street-inspired mood, and powerful sound rooted in a classic hip-hop rhythm.
Marking their first comeback in 2025, NEXZ has been building massive hype by dropping diverse teaser content. Particularly, their highlight medley performance video, choreographed by members Tomoya, Yuu, and Haru themselves, surpassed 1 million views on YouTube, showcasing their multifaceted talents.
Leader Tomoya also directed a teaser video released on April 24, demonstrating his creative prowess and further emphasizing the group’s versatile charm.
The mini album “O-RLY?” will be officially available on April 28 at 6 PM KST. Following the album’s release, the “NEXZ COMEBACK SHOW O-RLY?” will be globally broadcast at 8 PM KST through Mnet and M2’s official YouTube channels, offering fans a first look at their dynamic new performances.
To celebrate the release, a special pop-up store will be open from April 30 to May 11 at EQL Seongsu in Seoul, creating a space for fans to experience the NEXZ phenomenon firsthand.
