NEXZ Dominates Korean Music Charts with Mini Album ‘O-RLY?’
JYP Entertainment’s rookie boy group NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huei, Yuki) has surged to the top of Korea’s major music charts with their second mini album, ‘O-RLY?’, proving their rising star power in the global K-pop scene.
The album, released on April 28, hit No.1 on the Hanteo Chart’s Weekly Physical Album Chart (April 28 – May 4, 2025) as well as the Circle Chart’s Weekly Retail Album Chart (April 27 – May 3, 2025). The strong debut follows the group’s explosive rise since their first mini-album ‘NALLINA’ (2024), more than doubling its first-week sales.
Not only did ‘O-RLY?’ secure key positions on weekly charts, it also swept daily rankings: topping Hanteo’s daily chart on its release day and maintaining a 3-day streak on Circle’s daily retail chart.
The album’s title track, ‘O-RLY?’, rocketed to No.1 on Bugs real-time chart at 10 PM KST on its release day, marking the group’s first-ever domestic digital chart-topper. Riding the wave of success, NEXZ thanked fans by unveiling a performance video via their official SNS on May 5.
Set against the vibrant backdrops from their music video, the seven members pulled off a high-energy performance, showcasing acrobatic structures and powerful choreography. Notably, Tomoya, Yuu, and Haru participated in the performance’s production process, adding a personal touch that resonated with fans.
Fans raved about their performance online: “They nailed every move,” “It’s impressive how all members excel in dancing,” and “Every track on the album hits hard.” With a strong showing in their comeback’s first week, NEXZ is continuing the momentum in their second week, cementing their identity as the new faces of K-pop’s next generation.
