Nexz Achieves Career Highs with ‘O-RLY?’

JYP Entertainment’s dynamic boy group Nexz (Tomoya Minase, Yuu, Haru, Sogen, Seita, Huey, and Yuki) kicked off 2025 with a stunning comeback, dropping their second mini-album ‘O-RLY?’ and reaching new heights in their career. Released on April 28th, just five months after their last album, their comeback was marked by signature energy and a broad spectrum of musical styles—from the playful, charismatic title track ‘O-RLY?’ to the cool, chic B-side ‘Simmer.’

Creative Evolution and Active Participation

The group’s members took creative control this time around: Tomoya, Yuu, and Haru choreographed parts of both songs, with Tomoya even directing the album teasers. Reflecting on the promotional period, Nexz shared, “It feels like we just made our comeback, time flew by so fast! We’re proud to have shown fans a new side of Nexz with this album. We hope to continue to express our unique color in everything we do.”

Dominating the Charts and Memorable Milestones

Nexz scored their best results to date, clinching the top spot on Korean real-time music charts and topping both Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart for album sales. First-week sales doubled their previous record. Highlights included their first radio appearance and Tomoya’s turn as a special MC on SBS Inkigayo. The group reminisced about being nominated for first place on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank, calling it “a dream come true”—a milestone made possible by their dedicated fanbase, NEX2Y (Nexty).

The Power of Fan Support

The members expressed deep gratitude: “Being nominated for No. 1 felt surreal. It’s a gift from our fans, and we’re excited to grow even further for our next comeback.” They also described the joy of hearing their songs while shopping, vowing to work harder so that Nexz’s music can be heard everywhere.

Looking Ahead: A Year Full of Plans

Nexz isn’t slowing down: the group plans for more fan events, including their first live tour in Japan and the launch of their official light stick. “We’re just getting started this year,” they said. “We’re thrilled at the thought of performing with a sea of glowing light sticks next time. Now in our second year, we want to continue showing an even better Nexz to the world.”

With ‘O-RLY?’ setting the stage for more growth, Nexz is poised for an even brighter future as K-pop fans worldwide rally behind the group’s bold journey.
