NewJeans’ Danielle Pens Heartfelt Letter to Bunnies Amid Hiatus

NewJeans member Danielle shares emotional letter with Bunnies fans amid ADOR dispute

Danielle, a beloved member of the K-pop group NewJeans, has taken to social media to share a touching message of gratitude for her fans, known affectionately as Bunnies.

On May 30, Danielle posted a heartfelt letter on NewJeans’ official social media, opening up about how deeply moved she was after reading the birthday letters sent by fans. “I’ve missed you all so much that I wanted to express my feelings, even if only through a letter,” she wrote. “I finally finished reading all the birthday letters you sent me.”

The idol described the emotional impact the fan letters had on her, stating, “While reading your messages, I felt so many emotions and learned new things I hadn’t known before. I came to understand the power behind each word, the weight of a single character, the way writing can stir the heart.”

Danielle continued, “Knowing how much time and thought goes into each letter – the hours spent writing and revising – made every word feel even more precious. Regardless of length, your sincerity made every letter unforgettable. I will cherish your love forever.”

The NewJeans member expressed how healing the letters have been to her: “As I read them, I felt like my soul was being healed. Bunnies are truly special and amazing people. Even if we’re apart and can’t hug in person, I believe we’re always giving each other strength and good energy.”

She concluded with a promise to continue supporting her fans, saying, “As friends who care and respect one another, I will continue to pray for you and cheer you on. I’ll try to live every day with gratitude and happiness. Thank you for being my pillar during difficult times. Meeting you in this life made me the luckiest person in the world.”

Meanwhile, the future of NewJeans remains uncertain. Amid conflicts with their label, ADOR, all five members previously announced their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts on November 29, 2023, and considered moving forward under the name “NJZ.” However, a court has since sided with ADOR, granting an injunction that prevents the members from engaging in independent activities or signing advertisement deals outside the label.

As a result, NewJeans is currently on an indefinite hiatus.
