Netflix’s ‘Devil’s Plan: Deathroom’: The Ultimate Mind Game Returns with a Vicious Twist

Netflix Launches ‘Devil’s Plan: Deathroom’ — Where Strategy, Survival, and Sanity Collide

Netflix is set to reignite the thrill of cerebral warfare with its upcoming reality competition series, “Devil’s Plan: Deathroom,” premiering worldwide on May 6. This electrifying sequel to the hit show injects new rules, higher stakes, and global star power into a seven-day brain survival showdown.

The Ultimate Psychological Battlefield

Inside a controlled competition space, 14 players from diverse backgrounds—including actors, scientists, poker pros, and influencers—are locked in a high-stakes mind game that blends strategy with psychological warfare. From a newly introduced elite ‘Deathmatch’ arena to the ominous ‘Prison Quarters,’ contestants must navigate alliances, betrayals, and mental endurance to survive.

What’s New in Season 2?

“Devil’s Plan: Deathroom” elevates the concept with a multi-level gameplay structure: the Living Quarters, the Prison Zone, and the Deathroom. The Prison Zone introduces a class-based dynamic, igniting both cooperation and cutthroat competition among prisoners aiming to advance their status and escape confinement. These shifting power structures are designed to push players to their psychological limits.

Meet the Players: Brains and Fame Collide

The cast of season two is a mind-bending blend of intelligence and star power. Go champion Lee Sedol, known for defeating AI prodigy AlphaGo, returns to showcase his razor-sharp instincts. Actor Justin H. Min (Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy) joins as a wild card with a passion for logic games. K-pop star KyuHyun (Super Junior), new-gen actress and scientist Yoon Sohee (KAIST alumnus), and smart beauty queen Lee Seunghyun (Miss Korea, university student) all add diversity in intellect and personality.

Rounding out the cast are poker strategist SevenHigh, viral intellect Jeong Hyeon-gyu (Seoul National University, Mensa-certified IQ 156), model-engineer hybrid Choi Hyunjun, and 8-year idol veteran Chuu. Newcomers from open auditions such as Dr. Kim Harin, physicist Park Sang-yeon (2021 Physics Olympiad gold medalist), M&A lawyer Son Eun-yu, and board game expert Tino promise intense competition and unpredictability.

A Game of Survival—With No Room for Error

According to series creator PD Jung Jong-yeon, casting focused on diversity and originality, with the goal of designing a truly unique competition environment. “We didn’t just want the smartest players—we wanted new personalities that challenge the dynamics of the game,” Jung said.

The series will premiere with episodes 1 through 4 in its first week, followed by episodes 5 through 9 in week two, and the final three episodes (10–12) in its third week. With its elevated concept and a global roster of players, “Devil’s Plan: Deathroom” is poised to become Netflix’s next international obsession for fans of strategy, social manipulation, and elite-level intellect.

Don’t miss the mind games. “Devil’s Plan: Deathroom” drops May 6—exclusively on Netflix.
