Namyu Ri Stuns at Cannes with Horror Thriller ‘Nursery Rhyme Ghost Story’
Korean actress Namyu Ri captured international attention as the ‘Goddess of Cannes’ following her appearance at the Cannes International Series Festival. On the 7th, she shared photographs and video clips taken in Cannes, captioned, “CANNE. Intense winds, tried to look pretty.”
Her timeless beauty and elegant presence turned heads, but it was her performance in the horror series Nursery Rhyme Ghost Story that solidified her status as a rising global star.
Produced by Cotap Media, the series was officially invited to the non-competitive section of the renowned festival. The show reimagines familiar childhood lullabies into terrifying, modern horror narratives through six eerie episodes. Namyu Ri leads the episode titled Home, Sweet Home, which twists the nostalgic melody “Even if I’m called to a joyful place, my rest is only in my small home” into a spine-chilling mystery.
Namyu Ri plays Yeon-su, a woman entangled in a series of bizarre experiences that draw viewers deep into a suspenseful, gripping storyline. Critics praised her performance for its emotional intensity and layered delivery, contributing to the show’s immersive power.
Nursery Rhyme Ghost Story was selected as part of the Domestic OTT Overseas Distribution Activation Support Project, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency. The show has already gained notable attention in international markets for its original premise and compelling storytelling.
