Namkoong Min and Jeon Yeo-bin Ignite Romance in SBS’s Upcoming Drama ‘Our Movie’

SBS Our Movie starring Namkoong Min and Jeon Yeo-bin delivers drama and deep emotions

SBS is set to launch its highly anticipated new Friday-Saturday drama, ‘Our Movie’, this June, stirring excitement across fans of Korean television. The series stars Namkoong Min as Lee Je-ha, a passionate film director with a troubled past, and Jeon Yeo-bin as Lee Da-eum, a terminally ill aspiring actress living each moment as if it’s her last. Their fateful encounter marks the beginning of a love story that simply can’t be postponed.

The drama’s narrative beautifully intertwines healing, resilience, and emotional intimacy, set against the backdrop of a film production. With a screenplay by writers Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, and direction by Lee Jeong-heum—renowned for visually rich dramas like ‘Goo Gyeong-yi’ and ‘Nobody Knows’—audiences can expect a cinematic experience within a drama series.

Recently released behind-the-scenes pictures from the first script reading reveal the intense energy and heartfelt dedication of the cast. Namkoong Min effortlessly embodied Director Lee Je-ha, expertly delivering commands like “Action,” “Cut,” and “Okay” with a presence that mirrored his on-screen role. His portrayal hinted at a character navigating through past trauma while pursuing artistic redemption.

Opposite him, Jeon Yeo-bin’s performance as Lee Da-eum stood out with her vibrant expressions and heartfelt line delivery. Her lively demeanor and delicate portrayal of a woman on borrowed time added a bittersweet layer of charm to the character.

Lee Seol plays top film star Chae Seo-young, exuding a magnetic blend of poise and emotional nuance, while Seo Hyun-woo brings charisma to the role of producer Boo Seung-won, infusing lighter moments and realism, which even made director Lee Jeong-heum joke, “I’d love to work with a producer like him.”

The positive energy and seamless chemistry among the cast were palpable throughout the script reading session. Namkoong Min reflected, “I believe this is going to be a well-made drama. If you’re someone who’s waiting for something truly meaningful, this is it.” Jeon Yeo-bin added, “I’m nervous and excited. ‘Our Movie’ feels like a gift, and I can’t wait to deliver it to the viewers.”

‘Our Movie’ promises to be a gripping blend of reality and romance, capturing the raw emotions of broken but hopeful souls working to create a film—and perhaps finding love along the way. The first episode premieres in June on Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS).
