Mr. Trot 3 Sensations Bring Charisma and Comedy to Knowing Bros

The beloved TOP7 performers from Mr. Trot 3 are set to appear on JTBC’s popular variety show Knowing Bros on June 10 at 9 PM KST. The charming cast includes Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-ah, Cheon Rok-dam, Choon-gil, Choi Jae-myung, and Chu Hyuk-jin—each bringing not only their powerful vocals but also an undeniable variety sense.

For Choi Jae-myung, this marks a memorable milestone. “Mr. Trot 3 was my first-ever TV appearance, and even now, it feels surreal to see people I watched on TV standing before me,” he shared. He also mentioned that Master Lee Kyung-kyu jokingly warned him not to overdo it on Knowing Bros, sending the cast into laughter.

Cheon Rok-dam further amped up the humor by mimicking Lee Kyung-kyu’s advice with his spot-on impersonation, proving his place among variety show naturals. Meanwhile, Choon-gil reminisced about his early days when BUZZ helped him as a musician. “Back during my ‘Moses’ days, BUZZ literally lifted me up. They’d call me as a guest whenever they toured,” he recalled, thanking Min Kyung-hoon for his support.

Fellow members Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-ah, and Chu Hyuk-jin chimed in, adding that BUZZ was for their generation what G-Dragon is now—an untouchable icon. Kim also shared a fun memory of greeting BUZZ’s Min Kyung-hoon with a childlike “Hello, mister” during his early days as a trot prodigy.

Son Bin-ah spoke about newfound fame, saying, “After appearing on the show, even my local diner of eight years finally recognized me.” Cheon Rok-dam echoed the sentiment, revealing that, “New fans now know me as Cheon Rok-dam, not the singer Lee Jung. I even have more gigs as Cheon Rok-dam than I ever did as Lee Jung.”

Chu Hyuk-jin opened up about his persistence, revealing he’s a three-time challenger on the Mr. Trot series. “This was my final attempt, and I gave it everything,” he said. When asked about being part of the TOP7, he responded, “I was in the TOP10 during Mr. Trot 2 and joined the nationwide tour, but now I feel a stronger sense of belonging.”
