Monsta X’s Joohoney and Jooheon Embark on a Culinary Journey Through Türkiye on KBS 2TV
K-pop sensations Joohoney and Jooheon from Monsta X recently showcased their cultural and culinary curiosity in the latest episode of KBS 2TV‘s travel food show ‘Newlyweds’ Delicatessen. Airing on May 16, the special installment followed the duo alongside celebrated chef Yoon Yeon-bok as they traveled through Istanbul, Türkiye—one of the world’s top three gastronomic destinations.
The trio began their flavorful expedition in the historic old town of Istanbul, where they sampled two of Türkiye’s signature desserts—kaymak, a rich clotted cream, and kazandibi, a traditional caramelized milk pudding. Their journey into Turkish cuisine did not end there. The group visited the iconic Egyptian Bazaar, a 400-year-old traditional market, and stopped at an open-air café to experience the making of Turkish coffee, recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Joohoney took on the role of an impromptu barista, preparing Turkish coffee on the spot and earning praise from a local Turkish coffee expert. Meanwhile, Jooheon brought vibrant energy to the streets by performing a spontaneous dance and playing traditional instruments, drawing enthusiastic cheers from both locals and international fans.
This episode not only highlighted Türkiye’s culinary heritage but also revealed the personal charms and talents of the Monsta X members outside the concert stage. Fans around the world were treated to a heartwarming blend of culture, flavor, and entertainment through the travel experiences of these beloved idols.
