Hyungwon of Monsta X reconnects with fans at Wonder Garden following military service

Hyungwon of K-pop powerhouse Monsta X is making a heartfelt return with his first official schedule post-military service—a free fan event titled ‘Wonder Garden’. Hosted by Starship Entertainment, the event is dedicated to ‘Monbebe’—Monsta X’s cherished fanbase—and will take place on February 17 at the Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

The fan event will hold two sessions: one at 1 PM and another at 5 PM, providing an intimate setting for Hyungwon to interact directly with his supporters. Only members of Monbebe’s 8th term will be granted access, with tickets available through Interpark starting from February 12 at 7 PM KST. Admission for all seats will be free of charge.

Hyungwon, who enlisted on November 14, 2023, is set to be officially discharged on February 13, 2025. Remarkably, his “Wonder Garden” fan meet is scheduled just four days after his discharge, marking a sentimental and personal gesture towards fans who have awaited his return.

Since debuting with Monsta X in 2015, Hyungwon has established himself as a multi-faceted entertainer. His contributions span across genres as a vocalist, actor, DJ, producer, and host. Starting with his self-produced track ‘Nobody Else’ in 2020, Hyungwon continued to showcase his music-making prowess in Monsta X albums.

In 2023, he teamed up with fellow Monsta X member Shownu to form the group’s first sub-unit Shownu X Hyungwon. Together, they co-wrote and co-composed tracks including ‘Love Me a Little’ and ‘Roll With Me’, further solidifying Hyungwon’s status as a “DIY idol.”

Beyond music, Hyungwon captivated fans with his solo web variety show ‘Brother, Where Are You?’ and made notable guest appearances in web content like Lee Yeong-ji’s talk show ‘I Haven’t Done Anything, But…’. His charming personality and refined manners made headlines and drew new fans to the Monsta X fandom.

Additionally, Hyungwon captured attention as a host, notably as a DJ on ‘Idol Radio Season 2’ and a co-MC on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’. His dynamic role as a presenter will continue when he appears at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 on February 29.

Coinciding with Hyungwon’s discharge, Monsta X will celebrate their 10th anniversary on February 14, further amplifying the significance of his return. Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for this all-rounder artist as he steps into a new chapter—starting where it all matters most: with the fans.
