Mnet’s ‘LIVE WIRE’ Premieres with Star-Studded Lineup Featuring DPR IAN, NCT Doyoung, and More

Featuring DPR IAN NCT Doyoung and more Mnet Live Wire launches new music relay show

Mnet is set to ignite the summer with its brand-new live music talk show, ‘LIVE WIRE’, premiering this June. Unlike traditional music shows, LIVE WIRE blends performance with intimate conversation, creating a musically connected space that links artists with one another, audiences with shared tastes, and performers with viewers in surprising ways.

What makes LIVE WIRE stand out is its unique format: each featured artist will nominate another performer they wish to see in the next episode. This relay-style selection fosters unpredictable lineups and unrepeatable chemistry, promising audiences a fresh and dynamic experience with every installment.

The premiere episode boasts a powerful mix of talent: the imaginative DPR IAN, legendary rocker Kim Chang Wan Band, emotional balladeer Roy Kim, energetic rapper Lee Young Ji, and the skilled rock ensemble Touched. Fans can expect eclectic performances and compelling conversations.

Episode 2 continues the momentum with a cross-generational showcase. It includes iconic singer-songwriter Kim Kwang Jin, global K-pop sensation NCT Doyoung, beloved indie artist Bolbbalgan4 (Ahn Ji-young), and emotionally intricate musician Lee Mu Jin. This mix of music legends and Gen Z icons reflects the show’s aim to connect across genres and generations through the universal language of music.

Fans wanting to be part of the live audience can apply via Mnet Plus. Applications for Episode 1 are open until 10 a.m. KST on May 12, while Episode 2 ticketing starts at 2 p.m. KST the same day and runs through May 19. Attending LIVE WIRE is more than just watching a show—it involves a ‘music taste’ matching system that allows participants to connect with like-minded fans for a curated audience experience.

With its premiere just around the corner, Mnet’s LIVE WIRE promises to redefine what a music variety show can be.
