MBC Unveils Script Reading Session for New Drama ‘The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun’
Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has officially revealed the script reading session for its upcoming daily drama The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun, a riveting series about relentless revenge and maternal love. Set against a society where victims are turned into villains, this drama portrays the harrowing journey of a mother who fights against a wealthy conglomerate to protect her daughter.
Helming the project is director Kim Jin-hyung, acclaimed for his emotionally sensitive take in Heavenly Connection and short-form drama The Villain Next Door. He joins forces with writer Seol Kyung-eun, recognized for her compelling narratives in dramas like Hide and Seek and Two Women’s Room. Together, they aim to captivate weeknight audiences with a story filled with passion, drama, and intensity.
Present at the script reading were Kim Jin-hyung, writer Seol Kyung-eun, and lead actors including Jang Shin-young, Seo Ha-joon, Yoon Ah-jung, and Oh Chang-seok.
