Love Takes Center Stage in ‘Bunny and Her Seven Brothers’

Emotional romance unfolds with Roh Jeong eui and Lee Chae min in Bunny and Her Seven Brothers

The emotional rollercoaster of MBC’s Fri-Sat drama ‘Bunny and Her Seven Brothers’ reached new heights in episode 8, airing on May 3, as Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min finally confirmed their feelings, culminating in a breathtaking kiss that had viewers swooning.

After episodes of tangled emotions and unresolved tensions, the storyline brought clarity to the relationships of the four central characters. Bunny (played by Roh Jeong-eui) and Hwang Jae-yeol (played by Lee Chae-min) were officially defined as a couple, bringing relief and excitement to fans who’ve eagerly followed their slow-burn romance.

Following the festival, Ji-won (Jo Jun-young) challenged Jae-yeol directly, refusing to back down and pledging to win Bunny’s heart himself. This declaration sparked turmoil in Jae-yeol, who was already torn due to his lingering past with Han Yeo-reum (Jeon So-young).

Jae-yeol, seeking closure, confronted Yeo-reum about her sudden departure years ago. Her vague answer—that she left to protect their relationship—left him confused. However, a scandal involving her mother’s debt revealed the painful truth that Yeo-reum had left to shield him from shame, avoiding the risk of exposing her difficult circumstances.

Seeing Yeo-reum attempting to repair their relationship, Jae-yeol was filled with pity but no longer affection, all while his thoughts stayed with Bunny. Meanwhile, Bunny, unable to ignore his intimate moments with Yeo-reum, finally broke down, delivering a powerfully emotional performance that resonated deeply with the audience.

While spending time with Ji-won, her heart remained with Jae-yeol, who was similarly distracted by thoughts of Bunny despite being physically near Yeo-reum. Ji-won and Yeo-reum sensed their respective partners’ emotional distance but hesitated to confront it.

The narrative took a dramatic twist when a restaurant mishap forced the four into an awkward group seating. Tension soared as Yeo-reum deliberately introduced Ji-won as Bunny’s boyfriend, intensifying the discomfort. This moment served as a catalyst for Jae-yeol, pushing him to choose honesty over hesitation. He formally ended things with Yeo-reum, whose tears marked her heartbreaking acceptance of the inevitable goodbye.

Jae-yeol raced to catch Bunny, only to be intercepted by Ji-won, who pleaded for her not to leave. But Bunny’s heart had already gravitated towards Jae-yeol. In a heartfelt confession, he told her, “I like you,” and she responded not with words, but with a kiss that spoke volumes.

The couple shared a second, more tender kiss, healing the wounds of their previous heartbreak and now opening a chapter of genuine love. With trust and courage as their foundation, Bunny and Jae-yeol are poised to explore a romance blooming in campus life.

‘Bunny and Her Seven Brothers’ airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST on MBC.
