Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji Star in Disney+ K-Drama ’24-Hour Gym’
Disney+ is set to release the highly anticipated Korean drama ’24-Hour Gym’ (Korean title: 24시 헬스클럽), starring Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji, premiering on KBS2 and Disney+ every Wednesday and Thursday starting May 30.
This genre-bending rom-com dubbed a ‘muscle-growth romance’ follows Do Hyun-jung, a passionate fitness junkie played by Lee Jun-young, who unexpectedly becomes the manager of a run-down local gym. Having transformed his life from a frail child to a world-class bodybuilder, Hyun-jung is now tackling a new challenge: helping others reshape not just their bodies but their entire perspective on life.
Opposite him, Jung Eun-ji brings to life the character of Lee Mi-ran, a woman who stumbles into the gym after a traumatic breakup. With zero muscle and even less motivation, Mi-ran reluctantly starts training under Hyun-jung—only to discover that the gym may be the toughest (and weirdest) ‘self-love’ bootcamp she’s ever enrolled in.
The show promises a blend of heartfelt life lessons, comedic moments, and full-body transformations, both internal and external. Director Park Joon-soo (acclaimed for his work on Gauss Electronics and God of Music) partners with writer Kim Ji-soo of Postpartum Care Center to inject the series with both humor and depth.
Lee Jun-young dives headfirst into the role with a convincing transformation, promising audiences a never-before-seen side of his acting range. Likewise, Jung Eun-ji underwent physical changes to mirror her character’s emotional arc, reinforcing her place as one of Korea’s most versatile performers.
’24-Hour Gym’ aims to be more than just a quirky gym story—it’s a tribute to emotional resilience, self-love, and the strength we find in unexpected places.
