Korean Singer Tops Six Circle Chart Categories with New Ballad OST

Korean singer Lim Young-woong has achieved a rare milestone, sweeping six categories on Korea’s Circle Chart just days after the release of his latest single. The song, which serves as the original soundtrack (OST) to the JTBC drama of the same name, debuted on April 14 and has quickly dominated multiple digital platforms.

According to the Korea Music Content Association, which manages the Circle Chart, Lim’s track took the No. 1 spot in the following six charts for Week 16 (April 13 to April 19, 2025): the Digital Chart, Download Chart, Background Music Chart, V Coloring Chart, Bell Chart, and Ring Chart. The track garnered a Circle Index of 22,980,435 on the Digital Chart alone.

“천국보다 아름다운” (English translation: “More Beautiful than Heaven”) immediately captivated fans not only in South Korea but abroad as well, even gaining attention on the UK’s Official Charts. The song’s success is in part attributed to its poignant melody and emotional lyrics, making it an ideal match for the JTBC drama it accompanies.

The release of the OST has marked yet another high point in Lim’s musical career, demonstrating his strong resonance with audiences across multiple generations. His continued chart performance suggests his ongoing dominance in the Korean music industry and further cements his status as one of its most influential balladeers.
