Korean Actress Opens Up About Love, Loneliness, and Life Post-Divorce

Korean actress Park Eunhye opens up about loneliness and relationships on Because I'm Solo

On the latest episode of SBS Plus and E (Entertainment Television)’s dating reality series Because I’m Solo, celebrated Korean actress Park Eun-hye bared her heart as she spent time camping with high school friends. The June 20 episode provided a rare, heartfelt look into her thoughts on relationships following her divorce.

During a casual conversation around the campfire, Park surprised her longtime friends by asking, “Do you wish I had a boyfriend?” One friend quickly replied, “No,” prompting Park to dig deeper and ask, “Do you dislike the idea of me dating?”

The friend expressed concern, stating, “I feel like you’d feel guilty toward your children if you dated. You have so much love to give—it’s a bit worrying.”

Park couldn’t help but laugh and respond, “You sound just like my mom. Always saying, ‘Do you want to meet a man? Don’t.’”

When another friend asked if she was open to a new relationship, Park shared, “If I meet someone good, yes. My mind isn’t always closed to the idea. I often think about having a boyfriend when there’s a birthday or special occasion. You can’t really do those types of things alone.”

Observing from the studio, host Shin Dong-yup gently asked whether Park had experienced any romance in the nine years since her split. With honesty, Park replied, “People don’t leave me alone. I’d like to meet someone who can simply listen—just listen to me quietly.”

Park Eun-hye was previously married to an older businessman in 2008, but the couple divorced amicably in 2018. She is the mother of two sons, who are currently studying abroad in Australia with their father.

Because I’m Solo continues airing on SBS Plus and E, shedding light on real, vulnerable stories of Korean celebrities navigating love and life on their own terms.
