Korean Actress Nam Bo-ra Ties the Knot with Longtime Partner
South Korean actress Nam Bo-ra has officially joined the ranks of married celebrities. The actress tied the knot on June 10 with her longtime boyfriend, a businessman who is the same age as her, at a private ceremony held in Seoul.
The couple reportedly met through church volunteer work and built their relationship over the span of more than two years. Their journey to the altar culminated in a heartfelt event that was both intimate and celebratory.
The wedding ceremony featured emcee Kim Ki-ri, a comedian known for his quick wit and charm. Adding a nostalgic touch, actresses Park Jin-joo and Kim Min-young, who co-starred with Nam in the beloved film Sunny, performed a special congratulatory song for the bride and groom.
Nam Bo-ra’s marriage was first made public in October last year through her own YouTube channel, Nam Bo-ra’s Life Theater. In the video, she shared her engagement story, recalling a romantic proposal that took place during a couple’s trip to Japan.
“I’ve met someone who truly understands me,” Nam said. “We’ve promised to care for each other and walk through life side by side. I look forward to sharing our happiness with everyone.”
The actress also drew attention for her sweet description of her now-husband, affectionately saying he looks like a ‘beaver when he smiles’ and also resembles soccer star Son Heung-min in daily life.
Nam Bo-ra first gained public attention in 2005 on the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) program Sunday Sunday Night – Choir of Angels, where she appeared with her 13 siblings. She later transitioned into acting, delivering memorable performances in hit dramas such as Glorious Jane, Moon Embracing the Sun, Now Is Beautiful, and Hyo-shim’s Family—Each Survives on Their Own. Her film credits include New Year’s Eve and My Brilliant Revenge.
Her marriage marks a new chapter in the actress’s life, and fans are excited to see her balance her personal happiness with her career in entertainment.
