Kim Yoon Ah Joins ‘House of Girls’ to Empower Emerging Female Artists
Veteran Korean musician Kim Yoon Ah, best known as the lead vocalist of iconic rock band Jaurim, has stepped into the spotlight once again—this time, as a mentor in ENA’s latest music reality show, House of Girls. During an online press conference held on the morning of the 23rd, the singer shared her motivations for taking part in the show, which aims to spotlight indie talents referred to as ‘Untitled Artists.’
“When I first received the offer, I accepted unconditionally,” Kim shared. “I wanted to support those who’ve pursued music with unwavering passion. Watching the contestants improve over time has been incredibly rewarding. I’m really looking forward to the remaining performances.”
House of Girls follows ten female indie artists over a 100-day journey, as they take on various missions to ultimately release a compilation album. The end goal? Forming a musical unit made up of three standout artists. Kim elaborated, “The final team will consist of three Untitled Artists. It’s exciting to evaluate each artist’s potential and imagine the many possible combinations and synergies.”
Joining Kim as fellow ‘Artist Makers’ are Yang Dong Geun (YDG), Shin Yong Jae, and So You. Actor Lee Yi Kyung serves as host and Managing Director, guiding the creative process toward forming a powerful trio of multi-talented musicians.
The ten Untitled Artists featured in the show include Seori, Young Jo, YooA, Yul, Giselle, Kisses, Bamsem, View, Sian, and Ara. Each episode will spotlight different challenges, performances, and emotional breakthroughs as these aspiring musicians work toward their big debut.
Don’t miss the premiere of House of Girls, airing tonight at 11 PM on ENA.
