Kim Woo-bin, in a personal reflection, looked back on his first interaction with Hong when he began his career as a model at the age of twenty. Woo-bin stated, “When I first met him, Hyung said, ‘You should become an actor.’ Until then, I had never seriously considered acting, but his words made me ponder.”
A Persisting Belief and Support
Hong expressed, “Back then, there were several model friends, but Woo-bin stood out. It felt like discovering a Tyrannosaurus. Around that time, actors with dinosaur-like features were gaining popularity, and Kim Woo-bin perfectly fit that description. I was certain that he would be successful.”
Consistently persuading Woo-bin to pursue acting, Hong fondly reminisced, “From that point on, I continued to urge him to become an actor. Eventually, he followed my advice and became a leading actor.”

Kim Woo-bin commenced his modeling career in 2008 through the Kim Seo-ryong Homme fashion show. Shortly after, he transitioned into acting with the KBS drama special ‘White Christmas’ in 2011. Woo-bin soared to fame with roles in well-received dramas like ‘The Heirs,’ ‘Uncontrollably Fond,’ and ‘Our Blues,’ as well as films such as ‘Twenty’ and ‘Master.’
