Renowned South Korean actress Kim Seo-hyung has officially signed an exclusive contract with talent agency Mystic Story, signaling a powerful new phase in her decades-spanning career. The agency shared on April 3rd, “We are thrilled to be working with Kim Seo-hyung. We plan to support her in showcasing her range across diverse genres and characters.”

Kim has earned acclaim for her dynamic performances across television and film. She gained international recognition for her chilling portrayal of admissions consultant Kim Joo-young in JTBC’s “SKY Castle”, an iconic role that reflected sharp societal commentary and marked a career renaissance.

Her subsequent role in WATCHA’s original drama “Could Be Spicy Today” depicted her as Jung Da-jung, a terminally ill woman navigating emotional connections with heartfelt nuance. Following that, she starred in ENA’s psychological drama “Paper Moon” as Yoo Yi-hwa, a banker spiraling into moral ambiguity amid financial crisis and inner turmoil—delivering a visceral, layered performance that resonated strongly with audiences.

Her big screen work includes the emotionally devastating “Vinyl House,” in which she portrayed Moon-jung, a woman wrecked by irreversible choices. Her hauntingly expressive performance, often conveyed without dialogue, earned her critical accolades such as Best Actress at the 59th Grand Bell Awards and the 43rd Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.

Praised for her piercing intensity and emotional precision, Kim Seo-hyung continues to cement her status as one of Korea’s most compelling and reliable actresses. Her partnership with Mystic Story is expected to catalyze new roles that further showcase her range and power on-screen.
