Kim Jun-su’s Agency Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Comments
Kim Jun-su Takes a Stand
After a silence of five years, Kim Jun-su has finally decided to take a stand against anonymous malicious comments online. His agency, Palmtree Island, announced their zero-tolerance policy towards the spread of false information and defamatory posts.
Official Statement
On June 1st, Palmtree Island revealed through an official statement that they have filed multiple complaints with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station and have started identifying authors responsible for the defamatory posts.
Long Overdue
The decision comes as Kim Jun-su has endured prolonged mental distress from online harassment.
No Compromises
The agency announced, “We will not settle during the investigation and will respond strongly until the end,” emphasizing their firm stance.
Continuous Monitoring
Platforms such as DC Inside, Theqoo, Instiz, Daum Cafe, and Naver Pann are under constant surveillance, and legal actions are being pursued.
Warning and Request
The agency warns that repeated malicious actions under the guise of anonymity will not be tolerated and urges fans to report any instances of such behavior.
Connection to Previous Incidents
The legal action is also related to an incident last year when Kim Jun-su revealed that he was extorted for 840 million KRW by a female BJ on AfreecaTV from 2020 to 2023.
Current Status
The accused woman was sentenced to seven years in prison for extortion and has appealed to the Supreme Court.
Closure and Moving Forward
Kim Jun-su, currently starring in the musical ‘Aladdin’, clarified his non-involvement in the drug-related incident surrounding the accused. However, he had disclosed his inability to tolerate ongoing harassment in a message to fans.
Legal Action Initiated
With persistent malicious rumors still circulating, the agency has now initiated legal measures.
This time, neither anonymity nor leniency will be granted.
