South Korean actress Kim Hyang-gi is set to captivate viewers as the lead in the debut short-form drama from Daum’s new service Loop. Titled ‘Do Ghosts Get Cleaned?’, the drama is based on a popular webtoon and weaves together fantasy, romance, and a dash of supernatural intrigue.

Kim plays Jung Se-jeong, the unique owner of a ghost laundromat inherited from her father. Possessing the mysterious ability to help restless spirits move on during a two-hour window after midnight, she guides souls toward peace. Though initially portrayed as prickly, Se-jeong’s warm heart gradually emerges, adding depth to the character.

Starring opposite Kim is actor Kang Sang-jun, who plays Ma Do-jun, a bachelor ghost and uninvited guest trying to find his way to the afterlife. Despite Se-jeong’s reluctance, Do-jun persists and becomes her quirky sidekick in their otherworldly journey.

The drama is structured with short episodes, running just 1 to 2 minutes each, and offers a substantial total of 62 episodes. All of the episodes will be made available on June 21, marking a unique binge-watch experience for fans of short-form content.

Kim Hyang-gi, known for her versatile acting, is embracing multiple projects. She’s confirmed to star in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Cashier-ro’ as a superhero with telekinetic powers named Bang Eun-mi. She’s also returning to the big screen with films including ‘Halan’ and ‘Even Just Breathing Next to You Is Nice’.

In a bold career move, Kim is also set to debut on stage in the theatrical production of ‘Shakespeare in Love’, challenging herself with her first-ever play. With these diverse roles, the young star continues to prove her range and rising influence in the Korean entertainment industry.
