Kim Do-yeon Joins Disney+’s Crime Thriller ‘Nine Puzzles’

Rising actress Kim Do-yeon is turning heads once again as she joins the cast of Disney+‘s original crime thriller series ‘Nine Puzzles’, which officially debuted on May 21.

In ‘Nine Puzzles’, Kim Do-yeon takes on the role of Nam Hyuk-soo, the youngest member of the Seoul Metropolitan Police’s Criminal Behavior Analysis Team. The drama revolves around profiler I Na (played by Kim Da-mi), the sole witness to a decade-old cold case, and detective Han Saem (played by Son Suk-ku) who remains suspicious of her. Together, they unravel a new series of murders sparked by a mysterious puzzle piece that leads them back into the past.

Kim is already garnering attention for portraying the curious and sharp-witted Nam Hyuk-soo, adding fresh energy to the intense investigative narrative with his rookie enthusiasm and unshakable dedication. As the chilling puzzle unravels, Nam’s contributions are critical in piecing together clues hidden in the past.

This isn’t Kim Do-yeon’s first time shining on screen. He previously captivated audiences with performances in fan-favorite dramas such as ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’, ‘The Nokdu Flower’, ‘Miss Lee’, ‘Men Are Men’, ‘Move to Heaven’, and ‘Hyo Shim’s Independent Life’, showcasing his range and strengthening his presence in the industry.

‘Nine Puzzles’ is slated to run for a total of 11 episodes. Six have already been released on Disney+, and fans can look forward to three more episodes on May 28 and the final two on June 4. With its gripping plot twists and dynamic characters, the show is quickly becoming one of 2024’s most talked-about K-dramas.
