Kian84 Shares Humorous Celebrity Connections on ‘I Live Alone’
On the June 23rd episode of the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation reality show I Live Alone, beloved cartoonist and entertainer Kian84 embarked on a meaningful mural volunteer project alongside junior artists he had previously mentored.
Setting out early with painting supplies in hand, Kian84 arrived at a children’s care facility he first supported seven years ago. This time, he returned with a team of juniors—whom he connected with during a university lecture—to create a heartwarming mural for the children.
As the juniors quickly sketched outlines for the mural, Kian84 jumped in with a paintbrush after some hesitation, commenting with his signature wit, “There’s no right answer in art,” and offering life advice formed through years of experience.
During a break on the grass lawn with his team, the group reminisced about campus festivals. One junior joked, “It’d be great if BIGBANG visited,” prompting Kian84 to reply, “Should I ask GD?” showing off his unexpected connection to G-Dragon, the charismatic leader of BIGBANG.
He gleefully shared, “Now I know GD. At the end, I said ‘I’ll cheer for you from afar.’ And he replied, ‘Hyung, you’re not going to see me anymore?’ So I said, ‘Will I see you again?’ And he said ‘Of course, hyung, I want to see you again.’”
He also mentioned BTS member Jin, with whom he became acquainted through a variety show, proudly saying, “I know Seokjin too~,” pointing to his growing list of celebrity friends.
However, the studio interview brought a dose of reality, as Kian84 confessed jokingly, “Honestly, I don’t even have GD’s number. I guess I’m just namedropping popular friends. Sorry!”
The segment added both laughs and warmth, showing viewers another side of Kian84—not only a talented artist and entertainer, but also someone who values connection and giving back to the community.
