Kang Seung-yoon Returns with Romantic Travel Show ‘Let’s Meet Now’
Kang Seung-yoon, a member of K-pop group Winner, is making waves with his return to television in Channel S’s new travel reality show Let’s Meet Now. Marking his first appearance on a variety show after completing military service, Kang joins as a special guest in the highly awaited premiere episode airing on May 1 at 9:20 PM KST.
The show follows two teams engaging in romantic travel challenges with their foreign friends, showcasing a unique blend of cultures and connections. Each team embarks on a heartfelt journey, one team exploring the urban vibrance of Taipei and the other diving into the romantic tropics of Bali.
Produced by the creators behind the award-winning program Maybe We’ll Return — a winner at the 2024 Cable TV Awards — Let’s Meet Now continues their mission to redefine the travel show genre. Hosted by beloved Korean actress Yoo In-na, the first episode stars Kang Seung-yoon alongside Heart Signal 4 cast members Kim Ji-min and Kim Kwang-tae, as well as Dutch actor Ash.
During the episode, Kang reveals a deeper connection with Kim Ji-min, sharing that they knew each other even before his army enlistment. He humorously recalls his fellow soldiers constantly asking him about the outcome of Heart Signal 4, to which he playfully replied, “I want to know too!”
Kang’s passion for travel is well-known — so much so that he once held a photo exhibition inspired by his journeys. His excitement is palpable during the shooting, his smile growing as more destinations are revealed. A trip to Bali includes breathtaking activities like paragliding and a sunrise date, while the Taipei journey provides immersive local experiences and delicious street food tours.
What truly steals the show is the chemistry between Kang and host Yoo In-na, dubbed the “over-immersion siblings” for their reactions to the budding relationships unfolding on screen. Their heartfelt commentary adds emotional depth and laughter throughout the episode.
Let’s Meet Now premieres on Channel S at 9:20 PM KST on May 1. Available on SK Broadband’s B tv (Channel 01), KT Genie TV (Channel 44), and LG U+TV (Channel 61), it promises to be your next obsession if you’re looking for charming travel tales mixed with slow-burn romance and real bonding moments.
