Kang Hoon Transforms into a Justice-Driven Detective in ‘Hunter with a Scalpel’

South Korean actor Kang Hoon is garnering attention for his powerful transformation in the upcoming crime thriller Hunter with a Scalpel, produced by LG Uplus STUDIO X+U. Already acclaimed for his versatile performances across genres, Kang Hoon continues his ascent by taking on the role of Jung Jung-hyun, the determined head detective at Yongcheon Police’s violent crimes unit.

Hunter with a Scalpel delves into the dark world of a forensic pathologist named Seo Se-hyun, who discovers disturbing similarities between a recent murder and the signature style of his father—a man he believed had died 20 years ago and, more importantly, a known serial killer nicknamed ‘The Tailor’. As Se-hyun starts his own investigation to stop his father before it’s too late, the series explores intense moral dilemmas and chilling truths.

Adding intrigue and emotional depth is Jung-hyun, played by Kang Hoon, a principled veteran cop who believes in the fundamental goodness of people.
