Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si’s Chemistry Sparks in ‘Your Taste’
The charm of ‘Your Taste’ continues to unravel as episode 3 brings a tender shift in emotions between main characters Han Beom-woo, played by Kang Ha-neul, and Mo Yeon-joo, portrayed by Go Min-si. The Genie TV original, created by Han Jun-hee and written by Jeong Soo-yoon, throws its leads into unexpectedly intimate moments as their relationship slowly warms up.
The episode begins with Yeon-joo scrambling to secure fermented soybean paste essential for their cooking. When her usual supplier suddenly vanishes, she boards a tourist bus to search him out. Despite his reluctance, Beom-woo joins her on the journey. Though seemingly indifferent, his eyes repeatedly find their way back to Yeon-joo, revealing a deeper concern.
During the ride, when Yeon-joo dozes off against the window, Beom-woo gently offers his shoulder, only to playfully nudge her with a hint of mischief. This subtle gesture sets the stage for a series of emotionally charged exchanges that highlight their growing connection.
Upon reaching the supplier’s home, Beom-woo remains visibly attentive to Yeon-joo. While helping to stir the paste in the absence of the injured supplier, Beom-woo’s gaze lingers on her with increasing frequency. When Yeon-joo gleefully admires a beautifully aged fermenting stone, he softly murmurs, “It’s beautiful,” leaving viewers to wonder: was he talking about the stone, or Yeon-joo herself?
Their feelings become harder to conceal. As rain suddenly starts to pour, Beom-woo grabs Yeon-joo’s hand and runs with her to shelter. At the bus stop, Yeon-joo instinctively pulls Beom-woo closer to protect him from the rain, and their eyes meet in a deeply heartfelt moment—silent, yet electric.
Amid growing romantic tension, a new conflict unfolds. A mysterious fire disrupts their restaurant, Jeongje, halting operations. Suspicion falls on the irritable Shin Chun-seung (played by Yu Su-bin), whom Beom-woo, Yeon-joo, and Jin Myung-suk (played by Kim Sin-rok) confront. Overwhelmed with guilt upon recalling his drunken intrusion on the night of the fire, Shin admits his trespass and pleads for forgiveness.
The team shifts focus towards rebuilding, entering a food truck competition with a 5 million won prize in hopes of financing the restaurant’s recovery. As they prepare for the high-stakes cook-off, intrigue thickens with the discovery of a mysterious lighter near the site of the fire, raising new questions about the true cause of the blaze.
This mixture of romance, comedy, and suspense in ‘Your Taste’ keeps audiences glued to the screen, eager to see where this flavorful story goes next.
