K-pop’s Rising Stars VVS Drop Second Single ‘Purrfect’ Just 17 Days After Debut
K-pop’s latest sensation VVS (Very Very Slightly Included) is wasting no time cementing their impact. Just 17 days after their debut, the trailblazing girl group is back with a fresh single titled Purrfect, dropping on June 9 at 6 PM KST, accompanied by a sleek music video.
The new track follows the group’s breakout singles TEA and Fact$, released on May 22. The fast-paced release strategy reflects VVS’s ambition and drive, qualities that have already caught the attention of industry watchers.
Purrfect is composed in collaboration with American rapper Lay Bankz. The track blends rhythmic hip-hop elements with Jersey club beats, layered under a synth-driven melody and dynamic chorus. Adding to its uniqueness, the song cleverly samples the iconic ‘You Win Perfect!’ sound from the classic video game Street Fighter, bringing a wave of nostalgia to listeners.
The music video carries this playful yet bold energy, translating VVS’s vivacious style into a visual narrative. The group’s charismatic performance is emphasized by dance sequences that amplify rhythm and flair.
Previously, VVS teamed up with famed action choreographer Kouji Kawamoto for their “TEA” music video, delivering high-octane visuals. With Purrfect, the group pivots to showcase a different flavor of charm, highlighting stylish visuals and confident performance.
Produced by multinational label MZMC, VVS is attracting global buzz as the company’s first K-pop idol group project. The group consists of five distinctive members: Britney, Ailee, Lana, Jiwoo, and Liwon. All five are praised as premium ‘raw gems’—individuals with unique talents reshaping the texture of K-pop with their fresh and fearless approach.
