K-pop Stars Jennie and S.Coups Shine at the 2025 Met Gala

Jennie and SCoups of Kpop fame stun at the 2025 Met Gala red carpet event

K-pop icons Jennie of BLACKPINK and S.Coups of SEVENTEEN made waves on the international stage as they graced the red carpet of the 2025 Met Gala, held on May 5 (local time) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event, recognized as the world’s most prominent fashion charity gala, saw both stars represent the global influence of Korean pop culture through fashion and artistry.

S.Coups made his Met Gala debut as the global ambassador of BOSS, showcasing an elegant and culturally inspired outfit perfectly aligned with this year’s theme, Tailored For You. His ensemble, a fusion of dandy Western tailoring and sleek Eastern elements, caught the attention of major fashion outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, which praised his “chic charisma,” and Teen Vogue, which likened his styling to the lead from a romantic film.

Leading global media sources such as AP, Reuters, and People gave considerable coverage to his debut appearance. The SEVENTEEN leader’s moment in the fashion spotlight follows the group’s recent inclusion as the only K-pop act on the A100 list by Gold House and their remarkable third-place standing on the IFPI’s 2024 Global Artist Chart.

Jennie, meanwhile, returned to the Met Gala for the third consecutive year. Wearing an exquisite black satin off-shoulder jumpsuit paired with a black tailored pant set and dual-tone fedora — a look that required over 330 hours of expert craftsmanship by Chanel — she embraced the event’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, with sophisticated allure. Her outfit drew comparisons to Audrey Hepburn’s timeless elegance in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, with Harper’s Bazaar referring to her as the “Human Chanel.” People honored her as the only K-pop star among this year’s best-dressed attendees.

Jennie is set to appear on tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block tonight at 8:45 PM to share behind-the-scenes stories about her Coachella performance. Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is preparing for the release of their 5th full album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, on the 26th of this month, further solidifying their global momentum.
