On June 7th, K-pop icon HyunA appeared on the MBC FM4U radio show Hope Song at Noon, Kim Shin-young where she shared the truth behind her recent physical transformation and the effort she’s putting into her comeback.
Upon seeing HyunA, host Kim Shin-young commented, “You look like a true ‘bone-skinny’—a word we use when someone appears exceptionally slim. Every time we meet, I tell you to eat more, but you’ve gained some healthy weight lately. It looks good on you.”
HyunA responded with a candid admission: “I’ve started dieting again. I felt like I had gained a bit too much. When I dance, I sometimes feel heavier than I want to be.”
She continued, “So to make sure I can dance beautifully and freely, I needed to lose a few pounds. I’ve been working out really hard.”
The singer also detailed her intense workout schedule: “I work out for an hour each day with my trainer. Then, I walk for about six hours afterwards. It’s a tough routine, but it’s what I need.”
HyunA’s dedication demonstrates not just the physical challenges of being a performer but also her ongoing pursuit of perfection for her fans and career.
