K-pop Star Hyeri Cracks Down on Illegal Ticketing Ahead of Solo Fan Meeting Tour
Girl’s Day member and actress Hyeri is taking a bold stand in response to illegal ticket resales ahead of her highly anticipated first solo fan meeting tour, titled 2025 Hyeri Fan Meeting Tour: Welcome to HYERI’s STUDIO. The event, organized by Set the Stage, is set to kick off on June 7 at Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall in Seoul.
Tickets for both sessions of the fan meeting were snapped up in less than one minute when sales went live on May 14, signaling a massive response from fans. However, shortly after the sell-out, irregular patterns in ticketing activities were discovered, prompting an investigation into suspected unauthorized purchases via bots and direct link manipulation.
On May 24, Set the Stage issued an official statement revealing that a thorough review had been completed concerning suspicious purchases made through abnormal channels like macro programs. “Email notices have been sent to individuals suspected of unfair ticketing requesting them to provide clarification. Those who fail to respond or show valid reasons will have their reservations automatically canceled,” the statement read.
In response to the illicit activity, Set the Stage clarified: “Any damages resulting from personal transactions are the sole responsibility of those involved. The event organizers and ticketing platforms hold no liability. Tickets involved in illegal resales will be canceled unilaterally without prior notice.”
Hyeri herself expressed frustration over the situation on social media, stating, “It’s my first time experiencing something like this, and I was very shocked. I was initially thrilled to hear that all seats were sold out in one minute. But as it turns out, many had purchased tickets through unlawful means for resale. I won’t stay silent while people exploit the sincere intentions of fans just to turn a profit.”
Hyeri, who recently appeared in the U+tv drama 선의의 경쟁, continues to be recognized not just for her acting, but also for her strong connection with fans, underscoring the importance of maintaining fairness and integrity in fan engagement.
