K-pop Sensation NCT WISH to Miss SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in L.A. Due to Visa Issues

SM Entertainment announces NCT WISH unable to perform in Los Angeles after visa approval delays

In a surprising update ahead of one of the biggest K-pop events in the United States, SM Entertainment has announced that NCT WISH will not be participating in SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in L.A. due to unresolved visa issues.

On June 10, SM Entertainment released a statement explaining that despite submitting all required documents and attending interviews, they were unable to obtain visa approval in time for the Los Angeles performance. The company stated, “Although we diligently carried out all the necessary procedures for visa application, an unexpected delay in approval has led to this unfortunate outcome.”

“We deeply regret that NCT WISH will not be able to meet fans at SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in L.A.,” the company added. “Up until the last possible moment, we made every effort for visa approval. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who have been looking forward to NCT WISH’s stage.”

The performance, which marks SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary, is set to take place on July 11 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles. The star-studded lineup will feature iconic acts including TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee (KEY, MINHO), EXO (SUHO, CHANYEOL, KAI), Red Velvet (IRENE, SEULGI, JOY), NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, aespa, RIIZE, and Hearts2Hearts, as well as a special artist under the project name SMTR25.

While NCT WISH’s absence is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, the company has promised to make it up to global supporters with future performances and appearances. “Your support and anticipation will not go in vain. We will strive to bring better stages and stay connected with our fans worldwide,” SM Entertainment concluded.
