K-Pop Sensation BB Girls Drop Surprise Remake Single ‘Hope Wish’

KPop girl group BB Girls surprises fans with a nostalgic remake single of Hope Wish online worldwide

South Korean girl group BB Girls—comprising Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna—have released a surprise digital single, captivating fans both old and new. The new track, titled ‘Hope Wish’, premiered on major online music streaming platforms on June 28 at 6 PM KST.

‘Hope Wish’ is a modern-day reinterpretation of Byun Jin-sub‘s 1989 hit of the same name. Injecting their signature flair and emotive vocal colors, BB Girls offer listeners a heartfelt and refreshing take on the classic, bridging generations through music.

The release comes as a special gift to their fans, known as ‘Ppu-i’, ahead of the group’s first official fan meeting since their rebranding, titled ‘Missing File 0803’. Scheduled for June 8, the event marks a new era following their re-debut under the agency GLG.

BB Girls have been on a remarkable journey since the launch of their second single ‘LOVE 2’ earlier this year. The track re-entered Korean music charts thanks to organic word-of-mouth buzz, solidifying the group’s reputation as “reverse-charting icons,” a title first earned from their global hit ‘Rollin”.

‘LOVE 2’ also soared internationally, claiming the No.1 spot on the iTunes K-Pop chart in Australia and ranking high in ten other countries. Additionally, it charted across various categories including Dance and Electronic charts, and even broke into Apple Music Korea’s top dance songs.

With the release of ‘Hope Wish’, BB Girls continue to showcase their evolving artistry while paying homage to the golden age of Korean pop. The single is now available for streaming globally.
