The Magic of K-Pop Over Generations
On October 21, KBS 2TV’s ‘Immortal Songs’ aired a special episode dedicated to the APEC 2025 Korea Summit, scheduled to be held in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. In a show dubbed the ‘K-Pop Summit,’ South Korea’s top artists such as PSY, ATEEZ, Lee Seung-yoon, Song So-hee, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, JD1, Kiki, and JoJazz graced the stage to promote the global appeal of K-Pop.
god’s Timeless Performance
Among the illustrious lineup, god stood out with spectacular performances of classic hits like ‘Where You Need to Be,’ ‘Friday Night,’ and ‘One Candle.’ Their unmatched stage presence captivated audiences, proving why they are affectionately known as the ‘nation’s group’.
A Journey Through Friendship
When asked about maintaining their camaraderie over 27 years, MC Shin Dong-yup inquired why the band often feels they go back to their early days whenever they reunite. Danny Ahn humorously responded, “Our focus doesn’t last more than 10 minutes. Before going on stage, Joon Park was as playful as ever, probably exhausted.”
Son Ho-young added, “Despite aging, when we gather, it’s like we’re kids again, pulling pranks and playing just like we used to.”
The Everlasting Bond
Kim Tae-woo chimed in with a smile, “I have a family and three kids now, but when I’m with god, I’m the youngest again.” Meanwhile, Danny playfully pinched Kim’s cheek, saying, “So cute!”
Heartfelt Banter
The good-natured teasing continued with Kim jesting about how Joon treats them differently. “When Ho-young posts selfies before a gig, Joon comments, ‘Martiz, our dog’ but when I post, he asks, ‘Going to earn money?’ My family finds it awkward,” prompting laughter from everyone.
Shin Dong-yup summarized the essence of god, observing, “Their banter speaks volumes about their unbreakable bond and unyielding friendship.”
