K-Pop Group TRENDZ Reinvents Itself with Vibrant New Single ‘Chameleon’
K-pop sensation TRENDZ is turning heads once again with their latest comeback, signaling a bold new chapter in their musical journey. The group’s fifth single album, titled ‘Chameleon’, is set to be released on May 1 at noon KST across major music platforms. This marks the group’s highly anticipated return nearly a year after the release of their previous project, DREAMLIKE.
According to Global H Media, TRENDZ’s agency, ‘Chameleon’ is a reflection of the group’s evolving artistry, showcasing their ability to adapt, transform, and present unique musical colors just like the ever-changing creature the album is named after. Members of TRENDZ have taken a proactive role in the album’s creation, participating not only in performance but also in songwriting and composing, which gives the project a distinct authenticity and personal touch.
The title track ‘Chameleon’ blends breakbeat-infused pop with diverse genre influences. The song cleverly likens the group’s versatility to a chameleon’s dynamic ability to shift its hue according to its mood and surroundings, backed by vivid lyrics that humorously and creatively express TRENDZ’s multifaceted identity.
The album’s additional tracks further expand TRENDZ’s sonic palette. The opening track ‘RPZ’ features a special unit performance by members Jo Han Guk, RA.L, and Jung Ye Chan under the sub-unit moniker RAPPERS (RPZ), each infusing their personal flair and lyrical identity. The final track ‘DduDdu’ (뚜뚜), affectionately dedicated to their fandom FRIENDZ, delivers a heartfelt message of gratitude wrapped in a sweet and charming melody.
TRENDZ’s fifth single is already drawing attention from international fans, as pre-orders—starting from April 17—have seen steady global interest. In addition to standard editions, the release includes versions such as the POCAALBUM, offering collectors a rich variety of designs capturing the group’s charisma.
Alongside the album drop, TRENDZ has announced their second European tour, titled the ‘TRENDZ GLOW TOUR IN EUROPE’. Over the course of the tour, the group will visit 13 cities: Almaty, Tbilisi, Athens, Bucharest, Sofia, London, Brussels, Paris, Warsaw, Budapest, Lisbon, Milan, and Geneva.
