K-pop Girl Group MEOVV Stuns with Powerful ‘HANDS UP’ Performance on Studio Choom

Kpop girl group MEOVV stuns global fans with vibrant performance of HANDS UP on Studio Choom

South Korea’s emerging K-pop girl group MEOVV (수인, 가원, 안나, 나린, 엘라) set the global stage ablaze with the premiere performance of their latest single HANDS UP on Studio Choom, a channel by Mnet Digital Studio.

Released on April 29 via YouTube, the Studio Choom performance marked the official unveiling of HANDS UP, a pre-release track dropped just a day earlier. Fusing fast-paced Brazilian funk beats with vibrant synth sounds, the track delivers a refreshing yet powerful vibe.

The five members captivated viewers from the very first beat, amplifying energy with a strong intro and dynamically executed beginning sequence. Known for their precision and theatrical performance style seen in debut track MEOW and hit single BODY, MEOVV took it further with an evolved display of musical artistry in HANDS UP.

Styling remained true to the group’s aesthetic – sporty, bold, and edgy – while the choreography made full use of their long limbs for visually striking moves. Particularly notable was the intricate hand-based choreography that creatively mirrored the song’s title.

The dance break, harmonized with backup dancers and synchronized group formations, brought the performance to a climactic high. The intensity and synchronization underscored MEOVV’s growing reputation as a performance-driven leader of K-pop’s 5th generation.

MEOVV is scheduled to promote HANDS UP prior to the full release of their first EP, MY EYES OPEN VVIDE, which drops on May 12 at 6 PM KST.
