K-Drama Star Gong Myoung Hosts First Solo Fan Meeting After 12 Years

K-Drama actor Gong Myoung melted fans’ hearts as he held his first solo fan meeting titled May I GONGMYOUNG? on May 24 at the Yerimdang Art Hall in Seoul. After debuting 12 years ago, the actor finally greeted his domestic fans in an intimate setting filled with music, dance, and heartfelt moments.

Opening the show with a passionate rendition of John Park’s This Isn’t It, Gong Myoung led the audience on a walk down memory lane, discussing his roles in films and series such as Extreme Job, One Week Before I Die, and A Week Before Alcohol Break.

He then lit up the stage with dance covers of K-pop hits including NCT U’s Make A Wish, NCT 127’s Walk, and NCT Doyoung Jung Jaehyun’s Perfume. The crowd erupted as his younger brother, Doyoung of NCT, made a surprise appearance—despite his busy schedule preparing for concerts and comebacks—to show his unwavering support.

Gong Myoung couldn’t hide his shock and gratitude, making for a heartwarming moment that left fans emotional. The event also included fun fan engagement segments like nickname voting and interactive Q&A sessions, where the actor responded with sincerity and humor.

Demonstrating his love and appreciation, Gong Myoung personally handled every aspect of the fan meeting—from planning content and selecting guests to designing and packaging custom merchandise like tumblers, handkerchiefs, and postcards.

The 210-minute event was a love letter to fans, which Gong Myoung closed with a farewell event and his message: “I hope who I am brings you energy, just like your love gives me strength. Let’s never forget this moment.”

Currently, Gong Myoung is showcasing his versatility as an actor in multiple projects. He plays a grim reaper in the Tving original One Week Before I Die, revealing the emotional depths of first love. In tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama A Week Before Alcohol Break, he portrays a community health center director with detail and finesse. Fans can also anticipate a new side of him in the upcoming Netflix series Gwangjang, where he plays Gu Junmo—a successor to Bong San—set to premiere on June 6.
