K-Drama Hit ‘Reborn Rich’ Returns: Season 2 Is Officially in the Works
The critically acclaimed Korean drama Reborn Rich, which captivated global audiences through its riveting plot and powerhouse performances, is officially entering development for Season 2. On June 8, leading entertainment company Artist Company and its production affiliate Artist Studio announced a strategic collaboration to co-produce the highly anticipated sequel.
Originally aired on JTBC and met with overwhelming success, Reborn Rich starred Song Joong-ki, Lee Sung-min, and Shin Hyun-bin. The new season promises a more ambitious storyline, shifting the backdrop to a global stage where characters will navigate power, love, and ambition inside a multinational conglomerate.
The project marks the first symbolic production under the Artist Group umbrella since the merger of Artist Company and Artist United. This consolidated production system is strengthened by strategic backing from the Maeil Business Newspaper Media Group and partnership with cable broadcaster MBN.
In Season 2, Artist Company will lead overall planning and creative development, while Artist Studio will manage IP provision and execution. The fusion of Artist Company’s content strategy and Artist Studio’s seasoned production expertise paves the way for elevated storytelling and expanded world-building.
“This is a global-scale project designed with international audiences in mind,” said a representative from Artist Company. “From the early planning stage, we have been developing story arcs and characters tailored for emotional engagement worldwide.”
A representative from Artist Studio added, “Leveraging our production experience and IP management, we are committed to making Reborn Rich Season 2 surpass the legacy of the original. We are preparing for a breakthrough season in terms of scale and quality.”
As the first major output under the newly integrated Artist Group system, the sequel to Reborn Rich aims to position itself as a leading force in K-Drama’s globalization, fostering a strong content ecosystem backed by media giants and broadcast alliances.
