K-Drama Alert: F.T. Island’s Lee Hong-ki and ILLIT’s Wonhee Make Special Cameos in SBS’s ‘Spring Through the Seasons’
Set to premiere with a thrilling double episode on May 6 and 7, SBS’s newest K-drama, ‘Spring Through the Seasons’ (사계의 봄), is gaining serious buzz—and for good reason. F.T. Island’s Lee Hong-ki and ILLIT’s Wonhee have been confirmed to make exclusive guest appearances, completing a “dream cameo lineup” that’s capturing global fans’ curiosity.
‘Spring Through the Seasons’ is a modern youth-driven musical romance that follows the story of Sa-gye, a top K-pop band star who is unexpectedly ousted from his group. As he begins university under turbulent circumstances, he fatefully meets Kim Bom and begins his journey of personal rebirth and musical resurgence.
Joining the narrative is a stellar main cast led by Park Ji-hu, Ha Yoon-joo, and Lee Seung-hyub. The drama is helmed by director Kim Sung-yong of ‘Black Sun’ and ‘Lover’ fame and produced by Studio S, FNC Entertainment, FNC Story, and Monster Union—infusing the series with high production value and innovative storytelling.
The show is positioned as a spiritual successor to the 2009 cult classic ‘You’re Beautiful’, boosting expectations. Especially notable is the participation of Lee Hong-ki who famously portrayed Jeremy in You’re Beautiful. In Spring Through the Seasons, he returns to screen after a hiatus from acting, now dressed as an intellectual complete with curly hair and geek-chic glasses, oozing comedic charm and intrigue.
Also turning heads is rising star Wonhee from ILLIT, flaunting an effortlessly fresh look with peach-toned makeup, sleek long hair, and a stylish casual outfit that enhances her youthful allure. Though her exact role remains a mystery, her appearance has already sparked fan theories and heightened anticipation.
