South Korean powerhouse vocalist Jung Dongha returns with a bold and electrifying soundtrack for the newly premiered Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) weekend fantasy-drama ‘The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection’ (귀궁). His track, titled ‘You Better Run’, dropped today at 6 PM KST across major music platforms, marking the first official original soundtrack (OST) for the series.
‘You Better Run‘ opens with a dramatic orchestral arrangement that evolves into an intense rock anthem. Its thrilling guitar riffs and tense progression encapsulate the gripping storyline of facing demonic forces—perfectly syncing with the show’s supernatural energy. Jung Dongha’s signature high-octane vocals and soaring range inject emotional depth and momentum into the drama’s narrative, promising viewers a heightened sense of immersion.
The SBS drama features Yook Sung-jae of BTOB, Bona (Kim Ji-yeon) of Cosmic Girls, and Kim Young-kwang in lead roles. The plot centers around a young shaman, Yeori (played by Bona), who rebels against her mystical fate. The twist? Her first love, Yoon Gab (Yook Sung-jae), is possessed by an ancient serpent spirit, Kang Chul (Kim Young-kwang), setting off a gripping soul-switch fantasy romance against a backdrop of royal revenge.
Currently a professor at Yongin University of Science and Technology, Jung Dongha remains an influential figure in South Korea’s music scene through TV appearances, live shows, radio, and musicals. In addition to his OST work, Jung Dongha is currently co-headlining a nationwide tour, ‘THE GREATEST: Immortal Songs – Jung Dongha X Ali’, alongside fellow vocal titan Ali. The tour celebrates the legendary performances both artists delivered on the beloved Korean television program Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend (불후의명곡).
