Seventeen’s Jun Takes the Spotlight at Prestigious Event
Rising International Recognition
‘The Shadow’s Edge‘, scheduled for release on August 16 in China, delves into the gripping world of high-stakes crime and justice. Jun’s portrayal of the villainous Hu Feng highlights his capability to perform complex and high-intensity action sequences. “Performing alongside these legends was daunting yet exhilarating,” Jun added.
The film also garnered significant attention at the 78th Cannes Film Festival‘s film market earlier this year, piquing interest across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
A Journey of Accolades
Debuting in the 2006 film ‘The Wild Dog’, Jun clinched the Best New Actor Award the following year from the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild, becoming the first Chinese child actor nominated for the Best New Actor category at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. His career trajectory includes recent hits like the 2023 youth romance drama ‘独家童话 (Exclusive Fairytale)‘, winning the Popularity Award at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards. Notably, he took on the lead role in last year’s fantasy comedy epoch drama ‘云裳风波 (Fortunate Life)’, further broadening his acting spectrum.
