Jin (BTS) Unveils Heartbreaking Visuals for ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ Ahead of ‘Echo’ Album Release

BTS Jin stars alongside Shin Se-kyung in emotional music video for Dont Say You Love Me

Jin of BTS returns with a poignant love story that unfolds through cinematic visuals and restrained musicality. On June 13 (KST), Big Hit Music released the official music video poster for ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’, the title track from Jin’s upcoming second mini album, Echo.

The poster captures a fleeting but intense emotional snapshot — lovers standing at the edge of a relationship. Phrases like “crossed gazes and tangled hearts” and “our bittersweet story” adorning the poster set the mood for a narrative steeped in melancholy and emotional nuance.

Contrasting visuals from a different poster highlight the couple’s once-vibrant past, creating a stark emotional dichotomy and a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of an indie romance film. Viewers can anticipate a delicate performance as Jin taps into the intricacies of heartbreak, portraying the complexity of holding onto love while letting go.

According to Big Hit Music, the music video is structured as a dramatized short film, elevating the storytelling in both visuals and performance. Korean actress Shin Se-kyung stars alongside Jin as the female lead, deepening the emotional resonance of the piece.

‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ embraces a minimalist pop sound with a somber undertone. Jin’s signature vocal style — gentle yet emotionally loaded — guides listeners through the paradox of love as both a comfort and a wound.

Set for release on June 16 at 1 PM (KST), Echo comprises seven genre-spanning tracks including: “Don’t Say You Love Me,” “Nothing Without Your Love,” “Loser” featuring Choi Ye-na, “Rope It,” “Journey with Clouds,” “Background,” and “To Myself Today.” The album aims to reflect life’s many echoes — moments that resonate emotionally in distinct but familiar ways.

With lyrical honesty and cinematic ambition, Jin’s solo journey continues to push K-pop’s emotional and artistic boundaries.
