Jeon Hyun-moo Reunites with Nostalgia in Incheon for ‘Jeon Hyun-moo’s Plan 2’

MBN and Channel S’s hit food-documentary series Jeon Hyun-moo’s Plan 2 returns to Incheon for a sentimental food journey in its 27th episode, airing on Friday, May 2 at 9:10 PM KST. Returning to Wolmido, a scenic seaside destination just outside Seoul, host Jeon Hyun-moo and his co-star Gwak Tube (Kwak Joon-bin) set out on a new mission titled the ‘Viewer’s Plan,’ crafted based on direct messages from fans via social media.

Jeon reflects nostalgically on past visits to the location, stating, “I came here so often back in the day.” The duo’s exploration begins with a visit to an iconic local eatery boasting an 81-year tradition: a humble restaurant in the Shingeung-dong industrial district, known for its heartwarming ugeoji haejangguk (hangover soup with cabbage leaves).

The duo dives into the rich, comforting dish, noting the unusual “noodle-like” texture of the greens, enhanced by a secret garlic sauce. Jeon humorously salutes the anonymous recommender, exclaiming, “The viewer is always right!”

Following that culinary high, Jeon introduces another fan-recommended hot spot, dubbed the ‘mecca of tteokbokki’—a spicy rice cake shop that regularly sees lines forming from 7 AM.

Gwak Tube then announces a surprise guest, teasing, “My foodie friend ranks with the likes of Song Joong-ki, Lee Je-hoon, and aespa.” A puzzled Jeon jokingly guesses, “Don’t tell me it’s Kim Tae-ho PD?”
