Jennie Makes a Powerful Comeback on Billboard Hot 100 with ‘like JENNIE’
K-pop sensation Jennie has once again proven her global popularity by re-entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her hit track ‘like JENNIE’. According to Billboard’s latest chart data, the title track from her first full solo album ‘Ruby’ has landed at No. 96 on the main singles chart.
The album ‘Ruby’ is also demonstrating strong staying power, securing the No. 81 position on the Billboard 200 for its sixth consecutive week. In the UK, the single moved up 11 spots to rank No. 53 on the Official Singles Chart, marking another week of consistent chart performance across key global music markets.
Earlier, Jennie shattered records as the first female K-pop solo artist to have three songs simultaneously featured on the Hot 100. She now holds the distinction of having the most entries by a female K-pop soloist on the chart, with a total of six tracks: ‘like JENNIE’, ‘Mantra’, ‘Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)’, ‘ExtraL (feat. Doechii)’, ‘Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)’, and ‘One Of The Girls’ (a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp).
Jennie also generated major buzz with her stellar performances at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held on April 13 and 20. She captivated the audience with her solo sets over two weekends, once again affirming her superstar status.
Following her Coachella debut, Billboard recognized Jennie as the only K-pop artist in its roundup of “Hot Performances in Week 1 of Coachella.” Her live performance of ‘like JENNIE’ also went viral, ranking No. 2 on YouTube’s Worldwide Trending Music Videos and No. 3 on the platform’s trending videos chart, further boosting her global visibility.
With this latest comeback, Jennie continues to set new standards for K-pop solo artists, both musically and culturally.
