A Heartfelt Exchange Between Two Dance Icons

A Dance Bond Beyond Rehearsal

Aiki and Leejung, two renowned dancers, recently appeared on the YouTube show ‘Hyel’s Club’ to share behind-the-scenes stories from the popular Mnet series ‘Street Woman Fighter’. The camaraderie built during the extended shoots and intense rehearsals was evident as they recounted their journey together.

Building Stronger Ties

Leejung revealed that the close quarters during filming helped strengthen friendships among the crew, stating, “During overwhelming moments, I developed separation anxiety, and the single bed became a place of warmth and friendship. We became so much closer through these shared experiences.”

Relieving Tension with Humor

Aiki humorously shared how their bond helped them endure the rigorous schedule. “Being together sustained me. Meeting Leejung was a blessing, as she provided so much support. Without her, the experience would have been tougher,” she admitted.

Navigating Through Differences

The duo also discussed a particular incident where they bumped heads during a mission. Leejung recounted a moment of conflict, “Aiki, Hyojin Choi, Noze, and I were leading different segments. One day, Aiki said my bluntness sometimes hurt. It was eye-opening, voiced gently yet firmly, ‘Be kind with words, I’m your sister’. Hearing that made me reflect.”

Aiki added with a laugh, “Leejung’s talents and leadership were always respected. But it was a reality check when a younger peer mentioned it. She has this ability to say things beautifully even when being straightforward.”

Growth and Appreciation

Leejung expressed her gratitude, “Aiki’s unexpected tears moved me. It made me realize my emotional growth and how much I could have missed without her guidance.”

Global Appeal of ‘Street Woman Fighter’

Mnet’s ‘Street Woman Fighter’ continues to capture hearts worldwide with its innovative format. The latest season, premiering on September 27, introduces a competitive international tournament aspect that has piqued global intrigue.
