HYBE’s Cat’s Eye Tops K-POP RADAR Weekly Fandom Chart with ‘Gnarly’

HYBE global girl group Cats Eye gains global attention with Gnarly music video success

Cat’s Eye, the first global girl group co-produced by HYBE, has claimed the No.1 spot on the K-POP RADAR Weekly Fandom Chart. The chart, published weekly by music analytics startup Space Oddity, evaluates the growth of K-pop artists based on various global data points such as YouTube views and SNS follower growth.

The group’s latest single, ‘Gnarly’, released on April 30, soared to the top of the rankings for the second week of May. The official music video for ‘Gnarly’ recorded an impressive 7.57 million views during the chart’s assessment period, marking a significant rise from the previous week.

On Spotify, Cat’s Eye gained 78,000 new followers — significantly higher than the K-pop average of 45,000. Instagram saw a 156,000 increase in followers, whereas Twitter followers rose by 10,000. These figures starkly contrast the average Instagram follower uptick of just 800 and the general downward trend observed on Twitter for K-pop artists.

K-POP RADAR highlighted the group’s rapidly expanding global fandom and extraordinary SNS growth as critical indicators of their breakout success.

Other new entries in this week’s TOP 10 include Blackpink’s Lisa with her track ‘프라이스리스’ at No.2, TOMORROW X TOGETHER with ‘러브 랭귀지’ at No.5, and Rise’s ‘Back Bad Back’ at No.7.

The K-POP RADAR chart is gaining increasing recognition as a transparent and fair ranking system, leveraging global metrics such as YouTube MV view counts, Twitter and Instagram follower changes, and Spotify growth rates. It is curated by Space Oddity, a music startup that also offers real-time statistical tools and schedule reminders like Blip, supporting over 800 K-pop teams globally by providing up-to-date analytical dashboards free of charge.
