HYBE and Telemundo Team Up for Latin American Music Survival Show ‘Pase a la Fama’
HYBE has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with U.S.-based Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo to launch a new Latin American music survival show titled ‘Pase a la Fama’. The show will debut on June 8, airing on Telemundo across the United States. This joint effort marks HYBE’s strategic move to tap into the dynamic Latin music market and discover the next superstar band to take the global stage.
‘Pase a la Fama’, which translates to “Step to Fame” in English, will feature 55 contestants selected from thousands of talented musicians across Latin America. These artists, each with diverse backgrounds and musical prowess, will participate in a comprehensive training program and face intense competition in an artist development camp. Viewers can expect to witness not just electrifying performances but also inspiring journeys as these artists pursue their dreams.
The grand prize? A $100,000 cash award and a valuable recording contract with HYBE Latin America.
The show boasts heavyweight industry figures at its helm, including Edgar Barrera, a 21-time Latin Grammy Award winner and 57th Grammy Awards recipient. Barrera will produce the show’s signature theme song and original soundtrack, bringing his world-class expertise into the mix.
On the judging panel are three legendary Mexican musicians: the iconic singer and actress Ana Bárbara, genre-blending rising star Adriel Favela, and hit songwriter Horacio Palencia, known for his lasting influence in Latin music. These respected artists will help uncover hidden gems among the competitors.
Isaac Lee, Chairman of HYBE Latin America, shared his thoughts on the new venture: “’Pase a la Fama’ is a love letter to the intrinsic power of music and the creative journey of turning something unforgettable into reality. This series highlights what’s possible when talent meets opportunity, tracing amazing artists from their roots to a global vision.”
Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer at Telemundo Studios, added, “We are thrilled to collaborate with HYBE Latin America to convey the power of music in captivating ways. Global audiences will witness the energy, identity, passion, and ambition of a new generation striving for success in today’s music industry.”
As anticipation builds, ‘Pase a la Fama’ is poised to redefine the talent show genre, bringing Latin American music and culture into the global spotlight like never before.
